71 empowered by Amnesty coordinator

Seventy-one beneficiaries of the federal government’s amnesty programme have been empowered in Warri, Delta state after their training on welding/fabrication and poultry farming skills.

Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator, Presidential amnesty program, Professor Charles Dokubo enjoined the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity, adding that they should see themselves as future leaders in the region and the nation.

The Coordinator who was represented by the Head Post Training and Empowerment, PTE at the amnesty’s office, Mr. Emmanuel Oamen also urged the beneficiaries to sustain the atmosphere of peace in the region, thanking the Contractor who trained them in the various skills for a good job.

The Managing Director, Innotek Royal services limited, Evangelist Fetimi Samson enjoined the amnesty boss to empower fisherwomen In various creeks in the region.

According to him, the fisherwomen who already have fishing skills should be provided with funds to grow their line of trade. He said most of them would not be able to come to the city so the amnesty office should take the empowerment program to them in the creeks
