The alleged murderer’s uncle Duane Keith Davis – also known as Keefe D – said he was in the car which carried out the infamous 1996 drive-by shooting
THE killer of rap superstar Tupac Shakur has been revealed as gang member Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson in a new Netlflix doc.
In a bombshell confession, the alleged murderer’s uncle Duane Keith Davis – known as Keefe D – said he was in the car which carried out the drive-by shooting in 1996.
In the docuseries Unsolved, the Tupac and Biggie Murders, he explains his nephew went looking for revenge after he was beaten up by the acclaimed rapper and his entourage.
Tupac attacked Crips member Anderson in the lobby of a Las Vegas casino after the killer robbed a medallion from one of the musician’s entourage – some of whom were associated with rival LA gang The Bloods.
The shooter’s Cadillac was being driven by Terrence “T-Brown” Brown while Keefe D was in the front passenger seat with Anderson and DeAndre “Dre” Smith sitting behind them.
They managed to spot Tupac leaning out of his window to greet fans after hearing some girls shouting his name.
Keefe D said driver Brown “bust a u-turn” and pulled the car up next to the rapper’s BMW.
Describing the killing, he said: “I gave it to Dre and Dre was like ‘no, no, no’ and Lane was like – popped the dudes.
“He leaned over and rolled down the window and popped them.”
The shooting happened at 11.15pm on September 7, 1996, while Tupac died six days later in hospital after being hit four times in the chest, arm and thigh.
No arrests have ever made in connection to his killing.
The documentary’s executive producer Kyle Long has called on the Las Vegas police to speak to Keefe D following his confession, reports the Daily Star.

He said: “He went live on television and confessed to being an accessory to murder and the Las Vegas PD, as far as I know, is doing nothing about it.
“I just think it’s outrageous.”
Keefe D said: “I was a Compton kingpin, drug dealer, I’m the only one alive who can really tell you story about the Tupac killing.
“People have been pursuing me for 20 years, I’m coming out now because I have cancer. And I have nothing else to lose. All I care about now is the truth.”
After US journalists launched a legal bid for cops to release documents related to the assassination it emerged that the case is still part of an ongoing investigation.
