Police rescue Mikel’s father from kidnappers

The Enugu State Police Command say men of the command have rescued Pa Michael Obi, the father of Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi.

According to a tweet by the Enugu state Twitter handle, the older Obi was kidnapped along Markudi-Enugu express road.

The Police also stated that Pa Obi was rescued at Egede in Enugu state and is hale and hearty.

The police, however, did not state if there has been any arrest made in connection with the kidnapping.
