Just in: Bloody clash imminent as herdsmen take over Etche road

Reports available to TPCN indicate that herdsmen have taken over the Chokocho – Etche road since the early hours of Wednesday, June 27th, 2018.

It was gathered that the herdsmen have imbibed the habit of taking over the road with their cattle for days now, thereby blocking traffic flow and other economic activities.

TPCN learned that a clash between the herdsmen and the indigenes was averted as the youths of Chokocho were angry with the activities of the herdsmen on the road.

Such attitude, they lamented, has instilled fear in the minds of their women as it is rumoured that some women have in the past, been raped in the bush around the area by the herdsmen.

Speaking to TPCN, a youth leader of Chokocho who did not want his name in print, said the attitude of the herdsmen would henceforth not be tolerated again as it causes panic and anxiety within and around Etche.

He, therefore, called on appropriate authorities to curtail the incessant takeover of the road by herdsmen to avoid imminent clashes.
