NOGASA, Gas suppliers association to begin nationwide operation

The Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria (NOGASA) has concluded plans to formerly commence operations nationwide.

Speaking to newsmen on the outcome of a board meeting at its National Secretariat in Abuja, the Secretary of the association Chief Edison Nwosu disclosed that July 21 has been set as the official date of inauguration.

Nwosu who briefed newsmen in the company of the Deputy Chairman of the Board of NOGASA, Alh. Idris Abdulahi, expressed satisfaction at the pace of preparations being made.

He said that many suppliers were eagerly waiting for the inauguration of the association which will hold in Abuja.

He therefore advised members interested in holding elective positions to pick their nomination forms beginning from July 5th.

Nwosu said that the elections shall be conducted very quickly to give time for the inauguration which had already been scheduled for July 21.

On his part, the Deputy Chairman of the Board assured that with the inauguration of NOGASA and its commencement of work, the oil industry will soon witness a new dimension to organizational networking and support for suppliers.

He however warned that fake suppliers were not welcome to the platform stressing that NOGASA would fish out any fake supplier posing as a legitimate one.

“This new platform is meant only for legitimate suppliers as demonstrated by its past registration announcements and guidelines,” he said.

Hundreds of Suppliers from around Abuja who came to know the outcome of the crucial meeting also expressed joy at the development.

He added that the date for the election would be announced soon.
