The accident that occurred at Afara-Nihi road in Etche local government area has claimed the lives of three persons (a young girl and two boys) while the fourth person was critically injured.
TPCN gathered that the accident occurred around 8:00 pm after a heavy downpour on Wednesday.
TPCN also gathered that the two young men who lost their lives had gone to see their girlfriends while one was coming back with his own girlfriend when they collided with an unsuspecting transporter which resulted in the death of the three persons and leaving the transporter critically injured at General Hospital, Okomoko Etche, Rivers State.
A witness who was at the scene of the accident told TPCN that the victims would have been saved but the late arrival of help.
He said that the impact from the collision was much and was not easily curtailed by the locals who lacked experiences in handling such, saying that by the time help arrived, it was too late and the victims had lost much blood.
