Rivers community vows to participate actively in LGA polls.

Ahead of the June 16, 2018 local government election in Rivers state, the Honourable Commissioner for Water Resources and Rural Development, Professor Kaniye Ebeku, has urged the electorates in Ahoada-East to come out en-masse to exercise their franchise.

Professor Ebeku gave the message while speaking at a stakeholders meeting of Ward 7 held at his country home in Ula- Upata. He emphasized on the need to participate in electing credible leaders and make a bold statement that comes 2019 Governorship elections they will vote massively for Governor Wike.

He expressed hope that relevant agencies are ready to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of the exercise in the area.

He maintained that Ward 7 and all the people of Ahoada-East will continue to support the Peoples Democratic Party at all levels, including the Governor Wike-Led administration at the state level.

Professor Ebeku further commended the Governor for his developmental strides in Ahoada-East and for his laudable plan to relocate some faculties of the Rivers State University to the local government.
