A former special adviser to Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has decamped to the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State
Hon. Mowan Etete, a former political heavyweight in the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, defected to the APC on Thursday.
Mowan’s defection comes a week after a member of the state house of assembly, Martins Mannah, defected to the APC citing governor Wike’s attempt to pocket the state house of assembly among others as reason.
Others who have defected to the APC in the past week include a former Commissioner of Commerce and industry, Hon Sir Bright Jacob, former House of assembly member and CTC chairman, Hon Nnamdirim Ihute, two times caretaker chairman oyigbo LGA, Hon Ibe Alex, a ward2 PDP chairman, and their supporters.
The ceremony which took place in Andoni local government had APC chieftains including the State Chairman, Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree, former State Chairman, Chief Davies Ikanya, State Party Secretary, Chief Emeka Beke among others in attendance.
