Rivers State Government floats civil servants interest-free loan scheme.

Rivers State Government has issued guidelines to civil servants on how to obtain the interest-free loans proposed by Governor Nyesom Wike.

In

a statement by the ministry of finance, the loan is only for civil servants under the pay roll of Rivers State Government.

The statement also said that the loan is voluntary and must be repaid within 24 months.

In

the guidelines issued by the government, it provided details for the Rivers State Government Civil Servants Loan Revolving Scheme.

details of the loan below:

1. This facility is a -Voluntary INTEREST-Free Loan that will be repaid within 24 months.
2. Only Staff within GL 01-GL 13 and having more than TWO (2) years before retirement can apply such facility.
3. Copies of Documents required to be sighted are same as those used in your Biometrics inclusive of current ID Card, PVC & Verifiable Residential Address.
4. No GL 14-16 Staff; PS;Less than 2 years to be Retired Staff; Support Staff; Contract Staff or Political Appointees can access the loan.
5. Staff with current bank loan facility CAN NOT access it;
6. Sum available per Staff are :
GL 01-03@N100,000
GL 04-06@N200,000
GL 07-09@N500,000
GL10& 12@N800,000;
And GL13@N1,000,000
7. All necessary Application Forms must be filled by interested Staff
