A 48-Year-Old mother of three has begged the Choba division of the Customary Court to dissolve her 20-year-old marriage on the ground that her husband has maintained a lifestyle of infidelity.
Mrs. Joy Edache pleaded with the court to dissolve the marriage as she and her 3 children are no longer safe in the house she shares with her husband.
Mrs. Edache claimed that her husband, Chris Edache brings in different women and sleeps with them on their matrimonial bed without minding if she is at home or not.
“My husband brings different women to our house and sleeps with them on our matrimonial bed.
” He does not care if I or the kids are around. He just does his thing and I am scared that myself and the kids are not safe considering the fact that one of the women assaulted my last child and injured her on the process.
” It is on this basis that I seek dissolution of this marriage as it is no longer working for me” she said.
Mr. Edache, however, pleaded with the court not to dissolve the marriage, saying that he still loves his wife. He maintained that he changed due to the fact that his wife denies him sex.
The case was adjourned to May 8th for ruling.
