Former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins has undergone a successful surgery.
His Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua confirmed it on Sunday via their twitter handle.
Martins sustained the injury in an Asia champions league game against Kashima Antlers on Tuesday.
He underwent the surgery on Sunday and the club has confirmed its success.
“Martins had a successful surgery in the UK”.
Before the injury on Tuesday, Martins scored a hat trick against Hebbei CFFC in their 4-2 win two Friday’s ago.
