Newcastle linked to Belgian-based Nigerian international – report

Newcastle United have been linked with a summer switch for forward Moses Simon.

According to a report in Belgian publication HLN, Rafa Benitez has sent scouts to check on the 22-year-old frontman.

United are said to have been represented at the recent Serbia v Nigeria friendly, in which Simon came on for the final 13 minutes, as well as the Juliper League clash between his current club KAA Gent and Anderlecht on Sunday.

Pacey Simon, who is expected to go to this summer’s World Cup with the Super Eagles, has impressed at Gent this campaign, having provided five goals and two assists.

After the weekend win over Anderlecht, the former AS Trencin player, said: “It’s was a great victory guys will keep working hard.”
