RSIEC ditches card reader for June 16th Rivers Local Government polls

Ahead of the Local Government polls in Rivers State, the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC has said that the it will use the voters register over the card reader in the conduct of Saturday, June 16 2018 Local Government Council elections.

The commissioner in charge of public affairs and civic education, revealed this at a stakeholders meeting held at Sakpenwa, headquarters of Tai Local Government Area organized by RSIEC.

The commissioner represented by the Director public affairs and Civic Education, Mene Abari Hope said the Local Government Elections will hold as stipulated by RSIEC.

Mene Abari Hope also urged the people of tai to get their permanent voters card, PVC ready for the election.
