10 feared dead in Eleme bus fire.

About 10 passengers were feared dead when fire engulfed a Toyota 18 seaters commercial bus ferrying over 14 passengers from Akwa Ibom to Port Harcourt at the popular Eleme refinery junction in Eleme, Rivers State, on Saturday.

TPCN correspondent gathered that only the driver and two of the passengers sitting in front of the vehicle escaped but were seriously burnt.

Rescuers were seen at the spot trying to put out the fire which also escalated into nearby buildings.

As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire remains unknown and the number of casualties is expected to rise.
