Fight against corruption, a witch hunt – Wanosike.

The Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State has criticized the leadership of the All progressives Congress for its inability to provide credible leadership at the center.

Publicity Secretary of the Party, Samuel Wanosike, made this known when he received over 2000 former members of the Ikwerre Youth Movement, IYM, a socio political group to the Peoples Democratic Party.

Mr. Wanosike said that the fight against corruption by the ruling APC has become a witch hunt against the PDP as the APC has become partisan about it.

He said: “Buhari is partisan in the fight against corruption.

“The fight against corruption by the APC is a witch hunt against the PDP because they know that the people Democratic party is the only party that has the formidable force to take over power come 2019”

Mr. Wanosike queried why the call on the EFCC by INEC to monitor vote buying and election campaign funds did not include INEC mandating the EFCC to probe the APC to reveal where they got the funds to make Buhari president.

The PDP chieftain also said that the corruption index as released by international community has shown that Nigeria has fallen below standard in the fight against corruption.

He said that despite all the huge promises made, the party has been unable to fulfill any one of its promises to the citizens which he stated has caused untold hardship.
