Hyundai Heavy to build LPG tanks in Nigeria

Hyundai Heavy Industries Co, one of the world’s largest shipbuilders and industrial equipment manufacturers, said Thursday it has received a US$58 million order to build 15 bullet tanks for storing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for a Nigerian firm.

Hyundai Heavy said it is set to deliver the tanks to Nigeria’s Dangote Oil Refining Company, Africa’s largest refinery, beginning in April 2019.

Shares in Hyundai Heavy were trading at 123,500 won (US$114) as of 2:15 p.m., down 3.52 percent from the previous session’s close.
