Omehia asks Rivers people to forgive Amaechi

A former governor of Rivers State and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief. Celestine Omehia, has asked the people of Rivers East Senatorial district to forgive the many transgressions of the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

Omehia made the remarks during the Rivers East Senatorial district endorsement of the Rivers State Governor, Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, for a second term in office.

The event which held at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Portharcourt on Tuesday, attracted many dignitaries and party faithfuls.

He said that Amaechi is his younger brother and it is right that the people of zone forgive him for all he has done.
He maintained that the Minister has been cooking for the people of the zone and they have been eating but when the zone cooks for the minister, he will not be able to eat.
He urged the people to vote for the governor Wike because of what he termed ‘his excellent performance’

Other speakers at the event where Austin Okpara, a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ocj Okocha; a former minister of transportation, Abiye Sekibo and the former senator representing Rivers west Senatorial district, Thompson Sekibo.
