Man thrown out of an event because of PDP shirt.

John Diidi

As the Political atmosphere begins to get livened up and elections barely 12 months away, it appears that no love seems to be found between the supporters of the APC and PDP in Rivers state.

Taking to the social media platform Facebook to narrate his experiences, a Rivers State man named Divine Nnochiri lamented the attitude of political supporters in the state.

He explained how he was sent out of an event because he was putting on a People Democratic Party’s (PDP) shirt.

Narrating his experience, he wrote: “You can’t imagine how barbaric, uncivilized, awkward and archaic people have taken these politics as a thing.

“Would you believe that I was grossly embarrassed and subsequently asked of someone’s compound in Obio/Apor today all because I attended a function with this cloth not knowing that the house is owned by a pro-Amaechi APC member.

“How can we move ahead with this eye-for-an-eye politics in our dear Rivers State.

One of the commenter narrated how he was nearly killed at Marine Base because he pinned a politician’s flag to his car, saying that he did not get close to the area again until after two weeks.

They should learn political tolerance and politics without bitterness from the Yorubas where twin brothers and blood relations belong to different parties and bring the dividends home for all to enjoy. Even strangers and uninvited guests enjoy their usual lavish “owambe” parties organized by either of the winning sides. We still have a long way to go in our part of the country.

That should teach you that the most dangerous man in court of Morality is the Neutral Man.

You have not told the public what your true mission was(lols)

It’s sad! This spells how ignorant a lot of people have been. It has now become; “you’re either for us or our enemy”. When a good number of us are ready to quit this ignorance and antagonism, then can we say we’re ready to move forward. Sorry for your experience.
