He said: “Security in Rivers State has become a very big issue and having an evening like this to celebrate the security services is noble idea.

“Young people and the security personnel don’t get along much. I remember those days when we were young. Then, they had an offence called ‘wandering’.

“You people did not grow up to know wandering. Wandering is that in this country, police can arrest you and say that you are wandering without minding the fact that you might be coming from your house or going to your house and you will be arrested

“So, as young people, we always had issues with security agents but it was never the kind of issues you have today.

“Today, issues we have now are questions of life and death. Therefore, our behavior towards security and security agents need to change.

“We need to see them as partners. We need to work with them. We need to be close to them. We need to understand them.

“That is why I think that this evening is unique because it brings young people into close proximity with what security is all about”

Other notable personalities that graced the event include: Vetran actor and University don, Sam Dede, Gandoki, Prince Hezekiah, Mc JB and Omoku all stars.
