Adeseun Adelani on Wednesday, became the first ever Go Round FC player to
score in the Nigeria Professional Football League after his 17th minute
goal against Akwa United gave his side their first ever victory in the top
flight.
He is in the team to play against Lobi Stars in Makurdi as Go Round FC players
and officials arrived at about 3pm on the eve of the game.
*TEAM NEWS*
Captain of the Omoku side, Nelson Esor is still out and did not make the trip to
Makurdi for the game. He was a late exclusion from the team that played
Akwa United in midweek.
A relapse of a recurring hamstring injury ensured he was taken off the team.
Stanley “Obasanjo” Worlu would most likely captain the team again in the
absence of Nelson Esor as he did the last time.
Four players may make their debut for Go Round FC on Sunday in Makurdi:
Pius Dennis signed from FESTAC Sports FC who is also making the match day
squad for the first time, former Warri Wolves goaltender, George Ameh, makes
the match day squad for the first time as Victor Obiowo was left out, while
Kamaru Ogunjobi returns to the match day squad after he was left out of the
team that played Akwa United.
Ogunjobi could also make his Go Round FC debut if he gets to play against
Lobi Stars.
Olafimihan Atinushola was in the team to play Wikki Tourists in Jos and
could also make his debut for the team if he gets to play on Sunday.
Obinna Ukwu was with the team last season but is yet to feature this year.
Four players, Stanley Nwabali, Ebuka Akobundu, Chinonso Udeh and Morris
Chukwu have played every game and all minutes for Go Round FC in the League
this season.
*WHAT THE MANAGER SAYS*
Go Round FC Manager, Ngozi Elechi says he is in Makurdi to win. “It is not
going to be easy in any game we play. Expect total football as we want to
go there and win.
“In every game we play, we will change formation. There are other players
so we can change formation because we want to travel away. Lobi beat
Rangers in Enugu so we need to study the formation we will play in Makurdi.”
