Declare Miyetti Allah a terrorist group: South Group tells Buhari

A southern group has urged the Federal Government to declare Miyetti Allah, the organization of Fulani cattle breeders a terrorist group.

Speaking in Enugu on Thursday at an event to herald the beginning of mutual relationships between the South East, South South and South West titled “Handshake Across The Niger”, the group that comprised politicians, traditional rulers and other stakeholders from the three regions decried the kid gloves with which the Herdsmen menace is being treated.

They said that restructuring the country along regional lines will speed up development and bring to an end some of the security challenges facing the country, saying that Buhari’s anti-restructuring posture is worrisome.

This came on the heels of the Herdsmen-Farmers clash in Gumi LGA of Benue state where not less than 75 person were killed.

They warned that the country will be heading for disintegration if the country is not restructured along regional line before 2019.
