Managing Director NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku who performed the Inauguration at the commission’s Headquarters in Port Harcourt Rivers State enjoined members of the Committee to adhere strictly to the provisions of procurement Act of Two Thousand and seven.
Dr. Ogbuku who will serve as Chairman of the Committee also inaugurated the Contract Review Committee to tackle project abandonment.
He Charged the Committee to review NDDC contacts across the region and recommend those that have not mobilized to site for termination.
On his part, Director Procurement, Dr. Chuks Osuji who told members that the committee was mandatory by regulation, asked them to capture their requirements in their procurement plans and send them across for upload.
Similarly, Director Project Monitoring and Supervision, Dr. Gbenga Omowole pledged readiness of the Contract Review Committee to embark on the assignment.
Dr. Osuji explained that it would be difficult to secure approval for items that were not contained in the procurement plan uploaded in the National Contractors Portal.
