The Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State, Hon. Dr. Gift Worlu, has sworn in Chinedu Ikwunga as Chief Protocol, Ike Amadi as Executive Assistant, and several Special Assistants at a ceremony held at the Council Secretariat in Rumuodomaya.
The appointments are part of strategic moves to bolster the administration’s capacity for effective grassroots governance and advance the chairman’s A.R.I.S.E. agenda, aimed at delivering efficient services to residents.
Administering the oath of office, Dr. Worlu described public service as a sacred trust, reminding the appointees that their swearing-in represents a binding commitment to the people of Obio/Akpor.
He charged them to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity, dedication, loyalty, and humility, insisting that the interests of the local government and its citizens must supersede personal gains.
