AC Milan has reportedly placed Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze on the transfer list in anticipation of the upcoming season, as stated by Milan News. Chukwueze, who joined the Rossoneri from Villarreal during the summer of 2023, has faced difficulties in achieving consistency at the San Siro. In a total of 69 appearances across all competitions, the Nigerian international has recorded only eight goals and six assists.
Despite showcasing moments of his characteristic flair, he has not fully adapted to life in Serie A and is now poised for a departure. Reports indicate that Spanish La Liga club Real Betis is interested in, closely monitoring Chukwueze’s situation as they contemplate a potential acquisition. AC Milan’s decision comes as the club experiences changes under the newly appointed manager Massimiliano Allegri, who has started to shape his squad for the 2025/26 season.

Allegri has also identified Loftus-Cheek and Noah Okafor as surplus to requirements as he aims to revitalize the team. Loftus-Cheek, who joined AC Milan from Chelsea in 2023, played a significant role last season but struggled to make a consistent impact in midfield, while Okafor has had difficulty securing a regular starting position since his transfer from RB Salzburg.
All three players are anticipated to evaluate their options as they pursue new challenges. For Chukwueze in particular, a transfer could rejuvenate his career and provide a new opportunity to regain his best form.
