The Sole Administrator of Ogu/Bolo LGA, Hon. Engnr. Eliel Owubokiri conducted an inspection tour of public infrastructure yesterday. The focus of the inspection was on ensuring efficient water distribution in accessible areas of Wakama. Additionally, he aimed to address the deteriorating senior secondary section of CSS Bolo.
During the tour, several neglected and deteriorating facilities were identified in Wakama and Bolo, including the water supply scheme, public schools, the corp members’ lodge, and public toilets. Following the inspection, the Administrator acknowledged the issues with the infrastructure and committed to revitalising the senior secondary section of CSS Bolo, restoring the functionality of the newly constructed modern toilet in the Bolo community, and addressing other infrastructural shortcomings.

In the Wakama Community, he promised to facilitate the distribution of drinkable water to convenient locations and to rectify additional observed issues. Before this, the Sole Administrator met with stakeholders from the Ikpo-Ama community, represented by their leader, Mr. Josiah Aguru.
He took note of their infrastructural requirements and reassured the group of his intention to improve the water supply, rehabilitate the secondary school to a functional state, and install an appropriate gate for the health centre.
The Administrator left the key stakeholders from Ikpo-Ama, Wakama, and Bolo feeling optimistic as they appreciated the peace and progress made by the LGA administration.
