The Sole Administrator of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Hon. Engr Eliel Owubokiri, convened a stakeholders meeting to facilitate the prompt conduct of community-based youth bodies elections. The meeting, which was attended by key stakeholders from Ogu and Bolo communities, aimed to ensure the swift constitution of elected youth executives.
After thorough deliberations, Hon. Owubokiri directed that elections be conducted in various communities within a span of two weeks. He instructed the setup of electoral committees and tasked the stakeholders to relay the names to the Ministry of Youths within the week.

The Administrator assured that the Council is prepared to offer the required assistance, emphasising that any additional delays will not be accepted. Interim youth bodies were adopted to oversee the election process.
The stakeholders present included the Chairmen and Secretaries of Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs, Bolo Se Council of Chiefs, Ogu Youth Congress, and Bolo Youth Forum. With this development, the stage is set for the elections to take place in a fortnight.
