Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has urged Christians to emulate the ways of Jesus Christ, who made an ultimate sacrifice to save mankind.
He said this in an Easter message, urging Christians to take into consideration the welfare of others and also make sacrifices that will foster development.
He called on the citizens of Rivers State to re-dedicate themselves to the service of the state as they reflect on the ideals of Good Friday and Easter celebrations.
He added that this period is a season of forgiveness, love, fresh beginning and friendship and further enjoined those who have to reach out to those who are not privileged.
He also assured them that he will continue to make sacrifices for the state, defend her interests and ensure that the people always enjoy good governance.
He felicitated with them and assured them of their security during and after the celebrations.
