Rivers Community discovers human skull, guns at disbanded vigilante’s shrine

Indigenes of Umudioga in the Emohua local government area of Rivers State have discovered a human skull, guns and other charms at a shrine belonging to a commander of the disbanded vigilante group, OSPAC.

The impeached local government chairman of Emohua, Tom Aliezi, had last month, disbanded the vigilante group over their mounting atrocities, including killings and human rights violations.

It was gathered that a new vigilante was being set up being which did not go down well with the old disbanded members.

The community members raided and burnt down a shrine belonging to the disbanded OSPAC Commander, Alex Umezuruike following accusations that he set ablaze the house of the Community Development Chairman of the community.

It was alleged that an AK 47 rifle was discovered at the shrine during the raid.

He was later handed to the police.

When contacted for comments, Nnamdi Omoni, the public relations officer of the state police command said he had not been briefed on the matter.
