An angry mob in Port Harcourt has destroyed a vehicle belonging to the Rivers State Task Force on street trading after their activities led to the death of a man.
A video uploaded on twitter showed the mob pouncing angrily on the Ford Ranger truck used by the task force personnel at Agip Junction.
A crashed Toyota Camry vehicle was also shown in the video, apparently belonging to the man said to have died.
When contacted, Bright Amaewhule, the special assistant to governor Nyesom Wike on task force did not respond to enquiries for comment.
However, eyewitnesses said personnel of the task force took to their heels upon realizing that the man had died.
