Mr Enietie Edem, a 40-year-old resident of Ozuoba, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State has committed suicide over his lover’s late night.
Edem, an indigene of Akwa Ibom hanged himself on a mango tree in front of his apartment on Saturday at about 4: 30 am.
Residents told theportcitynews that the deceased had previously complained of his lover’s late-night keeping.
They said that they woke to the reality of the hanging corpse only to discover that it was that of their neighbour.

They said that when a police team arrived at the scene, they arrested the said lover before depositing the remains of the deceased to the mortuary.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, they described him as a very good man, that his decision to hang himself came as shock to them.
When contacted, the Rivers State Police Command’s spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni, said that he has not been briefed on the matter.
