Notorious kidnapper declared wanted with N2 million bounty in Rivers State

The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State Samuel Nwanosike, has pledged N2 million reward for anyone with useful information which will lead to the arrest and capture of a notorious kidnap kingpin in Ubima community of the LGA, Oscar Welle.

Nwanosike said in a press statement after a security meeting at the Council premises that Welle was responsible for kidnapping and other criminal activities destabilizing the area.

The council boss accused Welle of the recently killing and cutting off the legs of a Siat staff at Ubima, and kidnapping a woman, her daughter and driver along Ozuaha/Omagwa, and hijacking of a full loaded bus along Port- Harcourt/Owerri Road.

Nwanosike said that the security agencies have also launched a manhunt for the arrest of Mr Oscar Welle.

“Such person with the useful information that will lead to his arrest is advised to relay it to the Council’s Chairman at the Secretariat, Isiokpo, and reward will be given instantly,” he said.
