The Rivers state House of Assembly’s Adhoc committee conducting inquest into the Serial Killings in the state has said that one of the CCTV footages where the prime suspect in the killing of girls in hotels, Gracious David West, disappeared was doctored.
Kelechi Nwogu, the committee’s chairman stated this shortly after watching the footage of the CCTV where the suspect killed some of the victims.
Nwogu who represents Omuma constituency said the allegation that Gracious David West disappeared as shown in the footage, was not true.
He insisted that the committee will not relent in its desire to ensure that justice prevails.
Meanwhile, a CCTV expert who pleaded not to be named during the investigation said the footage was not doctored as claimed by the committee.
He added that the sudden disappearance of the victim from the footage is beyond his imagination.
