Wike assures Corp members of support.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has assured 2019 Batch B Corp members of his administration’s support during their service year to the Nation in the state.

Governor Wike who was represented by the permanent Secretary in the office of the secretary to the state Government, Dr. George Nweke, made this known during the closing ceremony of the 2019 Batch B 3 weeks Orientation programme at the NYSC orientation camp, Nonwa/Gbam Tai Local Government Area.

Governor Wike charged the Corp members to put in their best at their places of primary assignment to ensure that Rivers people feel their impact.

Earlier in his speech , the State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps, NYSC; Rivers State Mr. Chinwendu Chukwu appealed to stakeholders and Corp members employers, especially principals of public and private schools to accept the services of the Corp members posted to them.

He also urged them to utilize their services efficiently to enhance the educational standard of the students in their various communities.

Some of the Corp members who spoke to our correspondent said the experience they garnered from the camp will boost their performance in their places of primary assignment.

Meanwhile, about two thousands nine hundred Corp members who were mobilized to the orientation camp have been deployed to the 23 local government areas of Rivers State.
