Remember that the bigger your number of coconut, the more oil you’re likely to extract from them. You need four to ten sizeable coconuts, warm water, a blender, a bowl, and a sieve.

Simple steps to follow

Step 1: Break the coconut to small pieces. Pry out the meat from the shell
Step 2. Using a sharp knife, slice the coconut meat into tiny pieces and wash thoroughly. The slicing is for easy blending. Wash as many times as possible.
Step 3. Pour the sliced and washed coconut into your blender and add warm water. The size of the coconut will determine the number of times you’ll have to blend.
Step 4. Sieve the blended coconut into a sieve to separate the coconut milk from the chaff. Press with your hands to bring out all the milk.
Step 5. Pour the coconut milk into a bowl with cover. Cover tightly and put in a fridge till the next morning. If you don’t have a fridge, simply keep it in a cool place far from people’s reach.
Step 6. The coconut milk will have been separated from the water by the next morning. It will look like ice.
Step 7. Separate the milk and pour it into a clean pot. Cook for about one hour on low heat. Stir at intervals.
Step 8. When you notice black pieces of dirt in the pot, bring your pot down. Sieve the oil from the black char.
And you have made yourself a bottle of homemade coconut oil.

Coconut oil can be used as a beauty product.
Coconut oil is used as a moisturizer for the body and the hair. For the best of skins on infants, coconut oil is highly recommended to give your baby that sparkling soft skin.
Coconut oil when used on the hair helps control hair breakage. It helps keep the hair silky. It is best on natural hairs though, as it helps for softness and growth.
