2019 elections: Rivers state government approves special prayers and fast for residents.

Rivers State government says it has approved a three-day special prayers and fast for the residents of the state so as to ensure peace in Rivers State during the forthcoming 2019 General Elections.

According to the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Kenneth Kobani, the approval was given at the State Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019.

The Secretary to the State Government said the prayers and fast will commence on Wednesday January 16th and end on Friday, January 18th 2019, between 9am and 12 noon each day.

The statement said Christian faithful are to gather at the Obi Wali International Conference Hall each day for the program.

He also enjoined all members of CAN, all church members and residents of Rivers State to participate in the prayer and fasting program.
