Rivers State Deputy Governor Ipalibo Harry Banigo has urged Youths to be innovative and passionate for success.
Dr Banigo stated this through her Senior Special Assistant, Inegogo Fubara at the closing ceremony of a Two-Week Free Digital Economy Training Programme organized by the office of the Deputy Governor in collaboration with Caywood Brown Foundation in Port Harcourt.
The deputy governor said the training is aimed at equipping young people with the requisite knowledge on how to interact with the internet to promote their businesses.
She said a digital economy is a paradigm shift from the traditional way of doing business to using digital computers, noting that it is beneficial because it improves lives, creates job opportunities and ultimately grows economy.
According to the Deputy Governor who insisted that participants must put the knowledge acquired to good use, she said, “Where ever you find ourselves, let money not deter you at any point; let your passion drive you and with God on your side, you will succeed.”
Speaking on the sideline, Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor on Research, Uki Asemota said some of the trainees can now develop websites, including the use of social media to market their products and services.
