RSU college of medicine will be the best in the world – Didia

The Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Prof. Blessing Chimezie Didia has been applauded for his monumental achievements in the Rivers State University by the Chairman of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria,(MDCAN), R/S Chapter, Dr. Jack Ovunda.

This commendation was made known during a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University, Prof. Blessing Chimezie Didia by the Executives Members of MDCAN.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria(MDCAN) , Rivers State Chapter, Dr. Jack Ovunda told the Vice Chancellor that their visit was to formally introduce its Exco to him and to congratulate him for his giant strides in repositioning Rivers State University as one of the best University in the World.

He applauded His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief (Barr). Nyesom Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS(Africa), for upgrading all the Hospitals in the state and the choice of Prof. Blessing Chimezie Didia as the VC, RSU.

Dr. Ovunda said its organization will partner with the Vice Chancellor on health care delivery at the college of Medical Sciences of the institution.

In his response, the Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University, Prof. Blessing Chimezie Didia, who described the visit as timely, reiterated on his earlier resolve in making the University a global reckoning.

He told the group that the exceptional support of Governor Nyesom Wike was responsible for the approval and successful take off of the College of Medical Sciences of the University.

Prof. Didia said with the establishment of the College of Medical Sciences, the state would turn out enough Medical Doctors and other health Professionals in few years.

He told the group that the University College of Medical Sciences will be one of the best in the world.
