Rivers Angels Stun Confluence Queens

Rivers angel beats confluence queens 2 goals to nothing at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenegoa Bayelsa. This happened in their match day 3 fixture of the Nigerian women Football League’s super six play offs.

Confluence queen Shot stopper Echefu Sylvia was so sharp on the day, making saves including a back to back save to deny the Jewels of Rivers in the 66th minute. Adebiyi Saidat was also superb for the confluence queens as she also made a timely clearance to deny Blessing Okpe.

Rivers United left it late as in the 70th minute Chiamaka Okwuchukwu scored the opener via a well taken corner kick from Blessing Okpe.

In the 90th minute, the Rivers Jewels doubled their money via super star Chiamaka okwuchukwu again.

At the End The Jewels of Rivers were victorious and have raked in 8 points from three matches. They are second on the Nigerian women football league’s super six playoff Log with 8 points behind Edo queens who are 9 points.

Up next for Rivers Angels is tussle against south eastern giants Heartland Queens on Sunday.

We want to inform our dear fans that our #NWFLPremiershipSuper6 match day 5 against Heartland Queens will be played simultaneously with the Edo Queens vs. Bayelsa Queens match.

Therefore,  our match will take place at the Nembe City Stadium on Sunday by 12pm.

Should Edo queens drop points and Rivers Angels wins, the latter will be Crowned queens of the Nigerian Women Football League. Super Six play off
