The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced the implementation of a new policy requiring all users of federal airports to pay tolls at airport gates. The President’s instruction will be put into effect on Friday, according to a statement released by the FAAN on Thursday night. E-Tags will be sold at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja and the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
Electronic tags, or E-Tags, will be sold at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, and Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos according to a statement issued by the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria on Thursday night. This initiates the mandatory toll collection for all users of federal airports nationwide.
The statement read, “Following the Presidential Directive that all Nigerians are mandated to pay for E-Tags at all the 24 Federal Airports nationwide, we wish to inform the general public that the Electronic tags are available for sale from Friday, 17th May 2024.

Additionally, FAAN noted that motorists without E-Tags will have the option to pay cash at the Access Gates. However, they will be required to pay as they pass through the gates. FAAN encourages all users to comply with the directive to avoid any inconvenience.
