Absence of Judge stalls Rivers AAC suit against Wike

Hearing on the petition filed by the Governorship Candidate of the Africa Action Congress in Rivers State, BIOKPOMABO AWARA against the Independent National Electoral Commission, the People’s Democratic Party and Governor NYESOM WIKE, has been stalled in an Election Petition Tribunal in Port Harcourt.

Cross-examination of witnesses which was slated to commence today was stalled due to the absence of the three-man panel led by Justice KINGSLEY OJIAKOR in court.

According to our reporter Tina Stephen, Counsels in the matter were already seated in court but were later informed by the court registrar that the tribunal would not sit.

The parties were informed that a later date would be communicated to them.
