When you live in an environment where death, kidnapping for ransom and kidnapping for ritual/trafficking purposes are the other of the day, it becomes your prerogative to device means of self-preservation and survival.

Hoodlums are always devising means of perpetuating their evil without a trace.

A few weeks ago, it was gathered that armed robbers now operate in the Mile 1 and Mile 2 area during heavy downpours.

After they must have planned on who their next victim would be, they now wait for nature to aid them in their atrocities.

According to a tweeter user this morning, these hoodlums have gone an extra mile in their bid to rob or kidnap unsuspecting individuals.

He warned that commuters should be extra careful while in transit. “Dear Port Harcourt commuters, come down immediately from any public car you enter when the sleep pressure hits different. It could be ritualists in the process of drugging or jazzing you. Too many cases like this have been reported”.

Another tweeter user warned Port Harcourt residents to not always be in a hurry as this could lead to one being a victim.

“Always leave for your engagements early enough to avoid being in too much in a hurry that could lead one to lose focus”.

One user told the story of how a lady sent to make a deposit in the bank in Owerri was taken by these hoodlums to a remote place in Abia state. She was later released, on reaching home, she started searching for more money to take back to her abductors.

As you go about your daily business, be at alert. Before entering any taxi, ensure to take a mental profile of the people in in the cab. When you are in a cab and you have a bag in the boot and someone alights, keep an eye on your bag to avoid bag swapping.
