C4I Commander vows to stamp out crime in Rivers State

The Commander of C4i Unit of Rivers State Police Command, Paul Obot-Umoh says the unit is committed to fighting crime in the state.

Paul Obot-Umoh made the disclosure when members of the South-South Youth Initiative paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Port Harcourt.

He said efforts are geared towards ensuring that C4I meets up the target in crime fighting.

The Commander of C4i in Rivers State also asked members of the public to assist the unit in the fight against crime and criminality in the state.

”Since I reported in C4I, I have been trying my best to make sure that the crime wave in Rivers State is drastically reduced. And by the Grace of God, my boss who is the Commissioner of Police has been encouraging, the State Government has been encouraging me, I am not relenting and I also have gallant officers working under me, who are working hard to ensure that the state is secured”. he said

On the issue of discipline among men of the unit, the Commander of C41 in Rivers State Paul Obot-Umoh said men under his command have received different training on policing.

He said that C41 will not disappoint Rivers people in the quest to get rid of criminality in the state.

Earlier, the National President of South-South Youth Initiative, Saviour Imeabe in his address said security is everybody’s business and should not be left only in the hands of security personnel.

Saviour Imeabe said the visit is to encourage the unit to continue the good works they are doing in the state.

He said the youth organization will be a partner in progress with the Police and called on residents in the state to assist security personnel’s with the needed information to fight crime in Nigeria.

C4I is the initiative of Rivers State government to partner with security agencies to tackle crime and criminality across the twenty-three Local government Areas of the state.
