Portable Slams Celebrities Concerning TG Omori, Celebrates 10-Year Canada Visa

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has called out fellow celebrities for their failure to provide financial support for music video director TG Omori, who is facing serious health issues.

Omori recently underwent an unsuccessful kidney transplant in Lagos, where his body rejected the kidney donated by his brother, according to multiple reports.

While celebrities such as Davido and Kizz Daniel have expressed solidarity on social media following the news of Omori’s failed surgery, none have publicly contributed to help cover his medical expenses.

In a video shared on his social media page, Portable criticized Nigerian celebrities for their inaction, accusing the entertainment industry of displaying “fake love.”

He expressed his frustration that prominent figures like Napoli footballer Victor Osimhen and music mogul Don Jazzy had previously donated to support Bobrisky during his legal troubles but have not shown similar concern for TG Omori, who is critically ill.

“TG Omori has a kidney problem and celebrities are not donating money or kidneys for him but Victor Osimhen and others donated money for Bobrisky who has no value. The industry is full of fake love,” Portable stated.

In other news, Portable has secured a 10-year Canadian work visa, a development he proudly shared in a viral video on his Instagram page.

Displaying the visa, Portable announced that he now has the opportunity to perform internationally, particularly in Canada.

Excited about this new opportunity, the singer said, “Alhamdulilahi, CEO DR ZEHNATION is going to Canada. Going and coming, 10 years working permit.”

This comes after Portable revealed in a 2022 interview that he had been denied a U.S. visa five times, attributing the rejections to the way he presented himself during the application process.

Patience Ozokwor Exposes Reason For Increased Death Rate In Nollywood

Renowned Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor, affectionately known as Mama G, has recently shed light on the alarming frequency of deaths among Nollywood actors.

Mama G, during her statement, elaborated on her emotional breakdown at the funeral rites of the late comic actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, held in his hometown in Enugu State last month.

She revealed that the realization of his permanent absence struck her deeply, particularly when she called out to him and received no response.

Speaking in Lagos, Mama G attributed these tragic losses to a combination of carelessness and negligence on the part of the actors themselves.

“When you are doing something you are enjoying, you won’t bother to take care of your health. Once there is life in you, you keep doing what you are doing. And it’s something that pays back on your body,” she stated.

“Some people are so careless that when they are sick instead of going to the hospital for a proper check-up, they prefer to visit a chemist or a pharmacy to buy a pain reliever. It’s no longer safe with me.”

Expressing her grief at Mr. Ibu’s funeral, Mama G shared the realization of the moment which made her break down in tears. “It’s not because I was expecting him to respond, but it was when I realized that this man is gone forever,” she said.

Patience further emphasized the importance of regular medical check-ups and urged her colleagues to be proactive about their health. “We are trying to put smiles on the faces of people while forgetting to take care of our health,” she added.

The actress has shown great concern for her fellow actors, urging them to prioritize self-care within the Nollywood industry, while setting a reminder of the importance of balancing professional dedication with health and well-being.
