Most country that defeats us in sports, they use shooting sports to defeat us and it starts early. So, before they commence athletics and other sports, they must have done shooting sports and they will win medals. And Nigeria has the highest potentials for this. I’ve gone out of the country, I’ve been to Italy, Spain, and other places to canvass support for Nigeria. And now sports it’s going to be a business and not just entertainment” he said.

He said ”those that are supposed to promote the sports of shooting must know what they are promoting, this event is very apt to the vision of the Governor, Governor Nyesom Wike and the vision that our Ministry stands to project. Our belief is that once you understand what shooting means, you would translate that by letting the people know what it’s all about, and it will be easier for us to project it. Luckily, the ministry is doing everything possible to ensure that sports work in Rivers State”.
