Chima Ikwunado: Second witness commences testimony in court

The trial of late Ikokwu mechanic Chima Ikwunado continued on Friday with the second witness opening his testimony in court.

Chima Ikwunado was allegedly murdered while in Police custody after he was arrested alongside four others along Agip junction in Port Harcourt.

Four dismissed Police officers are standing trial in the murder of the late Ikokwu mechanic.

The four dismissed officer are Fidelis Ayogu, Chibuzor Ezeh, Egbunefu Felix, and Rose Georgewill.

The second witness Ifeanyi Osuji during the court proceeding, an automobile electrician said the late CHIMA gave him one of his customers’ car to repair in December 2019.

Ifeanyi Osuji said the Police arrested on December 19th, 2019, and took them to the Mile one Police station.

He said the Police seized their phones and collected their money and accused them of stealing the cars they are working for their customer.

The second witness said the first defendant FIDELIS AYOGU took him and Victor Ogbonna for interrogation and use a cutlass to cut his head and leg.

He said the dismissed Police officer threatens to kill them if they refused to admit that they stole the car.

Ifeanyi Osuji during his testimony said Victor Ogbonna succumb to the threat of the first defendant when he engaged his gun.

He noted that Fidelis Ayogu took them back to the IPO after their interrogation.

Correspondent reports that the Presiding Judge F.A.FIBERESIMA adjourned the case to 12th,29and 30th of March for a continuation of trial.
