Tonye Princewill gives N100,000 to winner of facebook empowerment programme

A Rivers born politician and philanthropist, Prince Tonye Princewill has again given the sum of N100,000 to the December edition winner of his facebook empowerment initiative known as ‘Help The Hardworker Project.’

This is the third lucky winner of the initiative who happens to be an undergraduate of the University of Port Harcourt by name: Tombari Akata.

While presenting the cash award to the winner, Tonye Prince who was represented by a retired Customary Court Judge, Barr. Ken Saronwiyo said the initiative is real and was established to better the lives of the citizenry.

He said, ‘as an initiative that believes in helping responsible members of the society, the project will continue to maintain this important cause.

“All hardworking people everywhere should develop an interest and compete as it is a way of changing lives and putting smiles on the faces of the people in society.”

In their separate speeches, the winner and his mother, Mrs Anthonia Akata expressed joy over the gesture, saying that they were surprised to see that it was real.

They called on God to bless Tonye Princewill and also advised those who didn’t winner not to lose hope but rather keep trying.
