Court sacks paramount ruler of Kom-Kom community in Oyigbo.

A High court sitting in Port Harcourt has restrained the paramount ruler of Kom-Kom community in Oyigbo Local Government Area, SAMUEL AZUH from parading himself as the traditional ruler of the area.

The court in a judgment delivered by Justice.A.U.KINGSLEY-CHUKU stated that SAMUEL AZUH cannot hold any position of trust in Kom-Kom because the land belongs to Ezekiel Hart family in Bonny local government area of Rivers State.

Justice Kingsley-Chuku also ordered that the stool of Eze of Kom-Kom or the paramount ruler is the exclusive list preserve of Ezekiel Hart family in Bonny as the true landowners and founders of the kom-kom community.

The court-ordered SAMUEL AZUH to render a full account of all compensations, royalties and monies collected by them on behalf of Kom-Kom community till date.

The judgment clarified that Ezekiel Hart family are entitled to all the rights and privileges, compensations, royalties and entitlements due and accruals to Kom-Kom as a community.

The court also ordered that SAMUEL AZUH should pay the sum of five hundred thousand naira to the Ezekiel Hart family.

The Court also granted a perpetual injunction restraining Samuel Azuh, servants or privies from further interfering, obstructing or meddling with the rights and privileges of Ezekiel Hart family as the true owners and founders of Kom-Kom community in Oyigbo local government area.
