An Appeal Court sitting in Port Harcourt has fixed 7th March for judgement in the case involving the All Progressive Congress APC, Peoples Democratic Party PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, challenging the judgment of JAMES OMOTOSHO of Federal High court.

The judgement had directed the removal of APC candidates from the ballot for the 2019 gubernatorial, national and state assembly elections in Rivers state.

Counsel to the 1st respondent raised a preliminary objection that supreme court had resolved all the issues concerning the appeal.

Counsel to APC argued that PDP is not a party to any of the judgement that supreme court has rendered, stressing that the present appeal distinguished other appeals.

Justice ISAIAH AKEJU adjourned for judgement on the matter to 7th March.

Speaking to our reporter Tina Amanda, counsel to PDP, Dike Udenna, said in view of the subsisting judgement it is not possible for APC to have candidates in the forthcoming election in the state.

On his part, Counsel to APC Chimenin Jerome, said that they have confidence that appeal court will render a fair decision come tomorrow.
