In line with the urban renewal and regeneration program of the Governor of Rivers state, Chief Barr Nyesom Wike, the Rivers state Commissioner for Housing Surveyor Anea-Bari Donald Burabe says his ministry has dismantled all illegal structures built in the state’s low-cost housing estate at Iriebe in obio/Akpor Local government Area of the state.

The Rivers State Commissioner for Housing Surveyor Anea-Bari Donald Burabe also said that miscreants and hoodlums occupying government houses in the estate were also evicted and more will be dislodged this week as it is a continuous exercise.

Rivers State Commissioner for Housing Surveyor Anea-Bari Donald Burabe while inspecting the level of work carried out by the ministry operation team at the State low-cost housing estate at Iriebe in Obio/Akpor LGA over the weekend warned all miscreants and hoodlums in govt quarters in the state without due allocation and permission to stay clear, as the govt will reclaim such property with immediate effect.

He said the State Government built the houses for workers and indigenes of the state on owners occupiers basis and not for hoodlums and miscreants to take over the houses.

He advised all legal occupants yet to regularize their allocation to do so in their own interest or face unpleasant circumstances.
