INEC commences media accreditation for Bayelsa, Imo, Kogi guber elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced media accreditation for journalists seeking to cover the forthcoming governorship elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States respectively.

This was made known in a circular sent to our correspondent on Tuesday by the commission and signed by the Secretary to INEC.

It reads in part that, “INEC has commenced an online accreditation for journalists and media organizations, wishing to cover the Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi States gubernatorial elections.

“Interested media organizations who wish to deploy journalists to cover the elections are by this notice expected to apply via: https://imap.inecnigeria.org.

“The portal now opened will close on Sunday 22nd October, 2023. Late submission will not be entertained as the portal will automatically shut down at 12 a.m. (midnight) on Sunday 22nd of October, 2023.

“Once again, the portal will close at 12 midnight on Sunday 22nd October 2023 and there will be no extension of time.”
